Important licensing information. Windows Server permits two simultaneous administrative RDP sessions without the RD Session Host role. Full multi-user operation requires Remote Desktop Services and the appropriate RDS CALs. Support for standard Windows 10 editions ended on October 14, 2025; use it only when necessary and with suitable security updates.

Questions before ordering
How does a dedicated RDP server differ from a Windows VPS?
On a Windows VPS, the host's physical resources are shared between virtual machines. On a dedicated server, the entire processor, RAM, and storage subsystem belong to one customer, providing more consistent performance under sustained load.
In which countries can I rent an RDP server?
Hetzner offers servers in Germany and Finland. The OVH catalog covers Europe, Canada, and Singapore. Selectel offers servers in Russia, in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Novosibirsk.
Which Windows versions can be installed?
Hetzner supports Windows Server 2016–2025 and Windows 10 Pro on request. OVH supports Windows Server 2016–2025. The current Selectel catalog supports Windows Server 2019 and 2022 for the selected configurations.
Is the Windows license included in the server price?
Catalog prices cover hardware rental. Windows, RDS CAL, and setup costs depend on the system version, number of users, and workload. We confirm the final price before payment.
How many users can work over RDP at the same time?
Windows Server supports two administrative RDP sessions without deploying the terminal role. Multi-user operation requires the Remote Desktop Session Host role and the correct number of user or device RDS CALs.
Will I receive Administrator privileges?
Yes. You receive full administrative access to your Windows system and can install permitted software, create accounts, and configure access policies.
Can the server be used for 1C and SQL?
Yes. High CPU frequency, sufficient RAM, and SSD/NVMe storage are especially important for 1C, CRM, and SQL. We will recommend a configuration based on database size and the number of simultaneous users.
How quickly can I receive the server?
An RDP server is usually activated within one hour after payment and order placement. Rare configurations or custom setup may take longer.
